In the spirit of the longstanding University of Utah and Brigham Young University rivalry, cyclists of all ages, abilities and genders can choose sides and race in an individual time trial up the Salt Lake Valley's famed Traverse Ridge (on South Mountain). Racers' individual times will be combined to see which "team" – U of U or BYU, has the fastest riders.

The 3-mile time trial has an elevation gain of more than 1,300 feet with 10 percent to 12 percent grades in some locations. The time trial will take place Saturday, September 20 at 9:00 a.m., beginning at the LDS Chapel at 272 E. Traverse Point Dr. in Draper, traveling up Traverse Ridge Road and finishing at Suncrest Market.
